The valley has 9 ski resorts and the area was host to the 1998 Winter Olympic Games. I stayed at the Hakuba Happo-One resort, however also skied at Hakuba Goryu, Hakuba 47 and Hakuba Cortina.
I arrived during heavy rain and minimal snow cover, however woke to fresh snow fall which thankfully kept falling for a few days and while not a great snow season, it provided enough cover to enjoy the skifields. The last day at Cortina resort was the heaviest snow fall day and it was magical ❄️❄️❄️
